Mother and Toddler Killed in Expressway Crash

Tragic Accident on West Coast Expressway

A mother and her two-year-old son tragically lost their lives in an accident on the West Coast Expressway near Manjung. The incident occurred at KM212 southbound early on Wednesday morning.

Details of the Incident

According to Manjung OCPD Asst Comm Hasbullah Abd Rahman, the family’s vehicle, driven by the father, hit a divider and overturned. The toddler was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Tragically, another car traveling in the same direction could not stop in time and struck the boy lying on the road.

Additional Vehicle Involved

A third vehicle also collided with the overturned car. The driver, a 24-year-old man, survived the crash, along with their three-year-old son.

Investigation Underway

The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act. Authorities are calling on witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.
