Arrest Made After Tragic Hit-and-Run

KUALA LUMPUR: A 31-year-old man believed to be involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of a young girl and injuries to her parents has been arrested, according to the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT).

Details of the Incident

The tragic incident occurred last Friday (Nov 15) on the Bukit Jalil Highway at around 9:50pm. Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa of JSPT stated on Tuesday (Nov 19) that the driver was taken into custody at the department’s headquarters.

Victim’s Fate and Charges

He explained that the collision caused the family of three to be thrown onto the road. Bystanders rushed them to the hospital, but the seven-year-old girl unfortunately passed away during treatment.
