Seamless Conversations on the Web
After its success on mobile devices, tablets, and computers, ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode is now arriving on the web. Users can enjoy seamless, human-like conversations with a voice assistant directly on the ChatGPT website.
Rolling Out for Premium Users First
According to OpenAI’s chief product officer Kevin Weil, paying subscribers—including Plus, Enterprise, Teams, and Edu users—will gain access to this feature via their desktop web browsers starting this week. Free-tier users should follow within a few weeks, extending the functionality to all ChatGPT users already enjoying it on Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS platforms.
A Natural and Adaptive Interaction
The Advanced Voice Mode takes interaction to the next level by mimicking natural conversations and even adapting to user emotions. Whether acting as a translator, coach, or tutor, this tool elevates the user experience significantly.
Customizable Voices and Written Transcripts
Multiple voice options and languages, complete with accents, are available for selection. The voice assistant creates a realistic impression of speaking to a human but works best in quiet surroundings with clear speech. Users can also retrieve written transcripts post-conversation.
