Government Allocations Syed Saddiq Set to Be Received Soon
PETALING JAYA: After five rounds of discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, government allocations are expected to be received soon, says Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
Commitment to Transparency and Compliance
He stated that he has no objections to signing a confidence and supply agreement (CSA) or a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and is willing to meet all stipulated conditions, including asset declaration, as long as Muar residents’ welfare is protected.
“If asset declaration is required, I am prepared to comply. I was among the first ministers to do so even before the election. Declaring annually is not an issue for me.
Hope for Swift Implementation of Aid
“This is for the benefit of Muar residents, and I hope good news will arrive soon so that welfare aid and development initiatives can proceed without delay.
“If this agreement is finalized successfully, everything will proceed smoothly. I view this positively and extend my gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Fadillah,” he said on Monday (March 10).

Finalizing the Agreement Syed Saddiq
Previously, Fadillah, who also chairs the Government Consultation Council, confirmed that the former Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president had, in principle, agreed to the government’s conditions. He added that details are now in the finalization stage, while feedback from other opposition MPs is still pending.
Earlier, Syed Saddiq mentioned that he had to comply with certain requirements as part of his efforts to secure funding for his constituency.
