Mass Evacuations in Kelantan
KUALA LUMPUR: The flood situation in Kelantan has significantly worsened. By Wednesday, 5,493 people from 1,682 families had been moved to 76 shelters, marking a sharp rise from the 250 evacuees the previous night.
Six Rivers at Critical Levels
In Kelantan, six rivers have exceeded danger levels, including Sungai Golok and Sungai Melor. Flash floods caused by overnight rainfall in Kota Baru have made roads impassable.
Flood Impact in Terengganu
Terengganu has also experienced severe flooding, with 1,220 evacuees from 384 families seeking shelter in 42 centers. Multiple rivers in the state are currently at high-risk levels.
Johor’s Situation Remains Unchanged
Johor, however, has seen little change in its flood situation, with only 28 people from eight families evacuated in Segamat.
