Johor Immigration Nabs 75 Undocumented Migrants in Dual Operations
JOHOR BARU: A total of 75 undocumented migrants were apprehended by the Johor Immigration Department in a two-day enforcement operation at two different locations.
State Immigration Director Datuk Mohd Rusdi Mohd Darus stated that most of the detainees in the Tuesday (March 4) and Wednesday raids were Myanmar and Indonesian nationals.
First Raid at Pandan Wholesale Market
“The first raid, conducted at 3pm in the Pandan wholesale market area—a known hotspot—saw officers inspecting 20 premises and screening 66 individuals.
“From this, 35 individuals were detained for various immigration violations,” he said on Thursday.

Johor Immigration Second Raid in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya
In a second operation held in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya at 12.30am, enforcement teams inspected nine shophouses and checked 64 foreigners.
“As a result, 40 illegal immigrants were taken into custody,” he added, noting that the operation was prompted by public complaints about undocumented foreign workers.
