The disaster has caused severe damage, with buildings collapsing, infrastructure destroyed, and thousands of people left in desperate need of aid. Responding swiftly, the Malaysian government has deployed a 50-member disaster relief team under the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) to assist in the ongoing Myanmar earthquake rescue operations.

The rescue team comprises one mission commander and 49 highly trained personnel, who will immediately launch critical search and rescue, medical aid, and relief distribution efforts upon arrival. Initially, a phased deployment was planned, but to ensure a more effective disaster response, authorities decided to send a full team in a single mission to maximize efficiency.
