Discovery and Initial Findings
KUALA LUMPUR: Authorities have identified chest injuries caused by blunt force trauma as the cause of death for an elderly woman found in a freezer in Taman OUG.
Preliminary Post-Mortem Report
In a statement on Thursday (Nov 21), Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa shared findings from an initial post-mortem report. “The cause of death has been identified as chest injuries resulting from blunt trauma,” he said.
Ongoing Investigation
Comm Rusdi also confirmed that nine individuals have been interviewed as part of the investigation. “At this stage, we are still waiting for the full post-mortem report, so the exact timeline of the incident remains unclear,” he added.
Suspect in Custody
Regarding the suspect, it was revealed that he was discharged from the hospital on Nov 20 and is currently in custody at the Brickfields police headquarters. His detention is set to last until Nov 26.
Details of the Alleged Murder
Reports have alleged that the woman was killed three years ago, and her son later stored her body in a freezer. The suspect reportedly contacted the authorities himself upon the discovery.
