Vietnam Faces Catastrophic Flooding as Typhoon Yagi Takes Heavy Toll

HANOI: Typhoon Yagi, which struck Vietnam on Saturday with winds topping 149 kilometers per hour, has left unprecedented destruction in its wake.

The typhoon has resulted in severe flooding across various regions, with the death toll currently at 82. The flooding has stranded thousands on rooftops, prompting urgent appeals on social media for rescue and aid.

The capital, Hanoi, is bracing for further flooding, with over 25,000 trees uprooted and significant infrastructural damage reported.
