Unexpected Visitor in Taiping
TAIPING: A massive 5-meter python made its way into a house via the ceiling, only to be captured by the Civil Defence Force (APM) team.
The Civil Defence Response
According to a Facebook post by the Taiping local council, the seven-member team was dispatched to the residence located on Jalan Ayer Puteh in Kg Dew, Kamunting, at around 8 p.m. on Monday, November 25.
Shocking Snake Sighting
A video shared on Facebook captured the snake hanging down from a ceiling hole, slithering across the sofa. The post quickly gained attention, with over 2,300 shares and 500 comments, many of which included stories from netizens who had experienced similar encounters.
Local Reactions
The APM Taiping team also shared details about the incident.
“I’ve been traumatized by pythons entering my house three times already,” commented Noreen Faizah.
“So far, we’ve caught four snakes with the help of neighbors and the Civil Defence, releasing them at the Pasir Panjang forest reserve in Port Dickson,” said Kay Layla JN.
“That situation reminded me of the movie Anaconda,” recalled Wanie Gaban.
