Jackie Chan, 70, Collapses During Intense Stunt for New Movie
Veteran action star Jackie Chan, now 70 years old, is known for his dedication to performing his own stunts, a reputation he’s maintained throughout his illustrious career. Despite his age, Chan continues to challenge himself with physically demanding roles, including his latest project, Panda Plan.
In this new action-comedy film, Chan’s character is tasked with protecting wildlife at a park from a dangerous group of mercenaries.

During the filming of an intense stunt, Chan found himself in a headlock as part of the scene. Suddenly, without warning, he lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground.
A behind-the-scenes video revealed the moment when Chan’s co-star quickly released him from the hold and helped him sit up. Members of the film crew rushed over to assist, with Chan appearing confused and asking, “What happened?”

After regaining his composure, Chan explained to the crew that he may have passed out because he was holding his breath for too long while executing the stunt. Despite the scare, the seasoned actor reassured everyone that he was fine, insisting on resuming the shoot.

Chan, who has built a career on doing his own stunts, refused to let the incident slow him down. He expressed his reluctance to rely on a stunt double, stating, “If I don’t do the stunts myself, I feel like I’m cheating the audience. I’ve always done my own action scenes, and I want to keep it that way for as long as possible.”

Over the years, Chan has sustained numerous injuries while filming his iconic stunts. From broken bones to dislocated joints, his resilience has become a hallmark of his work ethic. Even at 70, he has no plans to retire from the action genre.

During a press conference in China last year, Chan declared his commitment to continuing his stunt work, saying, “As long as I can move and fight, I will keep doing what I love.”
