Nvidia Delays New AI Chip Delivery, Impacting Microsoft and Others

According to reports from The Information and Bloomberg, AI chip manufacturer Nvidia is delaying the delivery of its new chip due to design flaws.

Sources involved in the production revealed that the new chip could be delayed by at least three months, affecting customers such as Meta, Google, and Microsoft.

Nvidia has informed Microsoft about the delay in the advanced Blackwell series AI chips. The company expects to ramp up production later this year, but the chips may not be shipped in large quantities until the first quarter of 2025.

Nvidia declined to comment on the delay but confirmed plans to increase production.
